My 365 Project
With the birth of our 3rd baby in the spring of 2015, I decided to take some time off from my photography business. FINALLY almost a year later (in January 2016), I was ready to jump back in - but in a different way. I was motivated to capture our three children interacting with each other. I was hungry to capture the little moments. The everyday things. Not the posed, hurry up and smile, let me fix your hair again for the picture days. I'm talking about day-to-day REALness. No more relying on my iPhone either. I decided to go big or go home... So I started taking my Canon everywhere with me.
So January 1, 2016 I started my 365 Project!
And I will say- it. has. been. AWESOME.
I love the moments I've captured- from the endless expressions on my children's faces to the details of how they sit, new things they have tried and the way they have fun with Daddy, and their grandparents, and I love the sweet faces of laughter I have frozen in time and the messes they make (quite often), and so much more -- so many of the moments of this past year would have been just thoughts that remained in my mind for a brief day or moment, but now I have folders filled on my hard drive of our life in 2016. I am also excited that I have discovered a new genre of photography that I love- family documentary photography. I have been posting my 365 Project on Instagram. Come check it out and be sure to click "Follow" so you'll see new posts!
