A quick little adventure || A couple of saturdays ago, we drove to pick our oldest up from summer camp. On the way back, we made a spontaneous stop at the Homochitto River next to Highway 98. I was ready to get home, but when my husband suggested it and then mentioned to me that my camera was in the car (he knew how to get to me), I was more excited than I normally would have been to make a stop on a hot sunny July Saturday in the south. We stayed only 30-40 minutes, but enough time so that everyone had fun, relaxed, skipped rocks, and cooled off for sure. (Until we had to race across the fiery hot sand and back to the car where we had one clean towel between all of us and not enough dry clothes!) It was an adventure for sure. I put together my favorites in a slideshow below.
